Gold Coast City Council resolved on 20 February 2012 to waive transport infrastructure charges (State), which is a charge for the local transport function of the State road network. Gold Coast Development Indicators – December Quarter 2011

Gold Coast City Council recently released updated development statistics for the October to December 2011 quarter. During this period, the overall Development Applications remained steady, however Material Change of Use applications are up by 10%. In the same period, the Development Applications decided has increased very slightly. Building Applications dropped around 2% during the period, with Building Approval's for housing dropping the greatest, approximately 13%, while most other categories remained basically steady.
